No, they are not for sleeping. I got sick and tired of photographing earrings that kept rolling around. I couldn't get them to stay still for the shot, especially the round beads. I was working with felt this weekend and thought making little pillows would be a great idea.
I took some felt squares and top stitched them with embroidery floss. I lightly filled them with fiberfill so they would be easy to manipulate and mold to accommodate what I put on them.
They idea worked out swell. I might make a few more to sell. You can see how I implemented the pillow with this pair of earrings.

The felt pillows are a GREAT idea! I have trouble with my earring photos because they often roll all over the place! I will have to check out your etsy shop.

What a great idea!! I like the textural quality it adds to the photo, but the color is solid so as not to detract from your product. Very nice!
